ββ2 Timothy 4:18
The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom; to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen
The LORD is our protector and our defender. (Psalm 18:2) GNTA The Lord is my protector; He is my strong fortress. My God is my protection, and with Him I am safe. He protects me like a shield; He defends me and keeps me safe.) He is a mighty warrior (Exodus 15:3). He promised to fight our battles, for they're not our battles at all. They're His battles (2 Chronicles 20:15). The enemy has been fighting against the LORD since the beginning. The enemy wants for you to surrender your power so he can lead you astray, leaving him in complete control on this earth (Genesis 1:28; Ephesians 2:2). He wants to keep us captive in fear of death (2 Timothy 2:26; Hebrews 2:15). We would fear death because of eternal judgment (1 John 4:18), which would make us prisoners in our minds to death because we have sinned. But the LORD has set us free by defeating sin and death (1 Corinthians 15:55-57). He made a public disgrace of the enemy by taking away his power to accuse us of our sins, which was Satan's greatest weapon (Colossians 2:15). When Jesus came back to life, He took the captives with Him (Psalm 68:18). Those captives are us (Ephesians 4:4-9). We've been set free. We will never die (John 8:51). We will pass from this body to be with the LORD. We have nothing to fear. Praise God! Amen. The devil can't accuse us any more before God (1 Corinthians 5:3), for our sins have been washed away (Hebrews 10:10). He can't make us fear death because we've passed on from judgment (John 5:24). His accusations are powerless. You only have to resist him and he will flee from you (James 4:7). This is how perfect love is available to you, for complete love has no fear. We can know that God completely loves us which is complete freedom (1 John 4:18).
Store these treasures in your heart and guard them for they have the power to set you free. They will give you peace and joy in this life. Releasing you from all anxiety and depression or worry. God's love is glorious. He can be trusted! Amen.
We don't battle against flesh and blood but against spiritual darkness (Ephesians 6:10). They're always trying to take our freedom. They want us under their control again, the control of fear. We are sealed with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13), but we can grow weak in heart. This is why we must stand together for there is strength in numbers. Although we are attacked, we only have to stand in the day of the evil one (Ephesians 6:13). Arm yourself with the knowledge of God and call upon His holy name.
Before I dedicated my life to Jesus and began to obtain knowledge, I was TERRIFIED of darkness and evil. I thought the evil forces had power over me and that I was defenseless against them. I thought the only way to keep them away from me was to not talk about them. Well, little did I know that they were always warring against me and that I did have power over them. When I gave my life to Christ and asked Him to lead me, I went under heavy spiritual attack. My church did little to help or comfort me. I've grown since then and I've realized that the power is in the hands of Jesus, My savior. I discovered that He is well aware of the enemy and He has already defeated him. I learned the will fight all my battles and He will always lead me to a stream of still waters. I've been lead into many wildernesses, but I've always been brought back to the green pastures. This process has strengthened my relationship with Jesus. I listen for the still small voice. I allow Him to guide me. I allow Him to correct me. I allow Him to lead and comfort me. He has become my everything. I know as a christian, the enemy will always want to stop me, but I have hope in the promises of God that even if I stumble or grow weak, the LORD is my protector. Rest in the promises of God. Allow Him to lead you. Listen for His voice. The LORD speaks to me always, but it's easiest to hear Him early in the morning, just as I awake. Remain still and quite, listen for His voice. He can always be trusted. He wants to help you in everything in your life. He isn't just here for the big things or the hard things; He is in all of it. He came to live inside of us because He wants a very intimate relationship with us, because He loves us.
