God's victory is on our side and we know this because, 'He that is within me is greater than he that is in the world' (1 John 4:4). God sent His Son into this world to reclaim us as His child and so He could be your God. He loves us. He wants a relationship with us. “They shall be My people, and I will be their God" (Jeremiah 32:38). He is aware of the brokenness in our lives and the problems that stand against us, but still He said He'd be our God. 'The Lord is my protector; he is my strong fortress. My God is my protection, and with Him I am safe. He protects me like a shield; he defends me and keeps me safe' (Psalm 18:2). Oh, the comfort we should have if we store this precious treasure deep within our soul and guard it as the most priced possession. Keeping this gospel truth far beyond the reach of the enemies lies against the Almighty and His love and forgiveness for me. Let us always remember, the Lord doesn’t see our shame, our nakedness for He has forgotten our sins. He remembers them no more. He is now our friend. He sees in us the righteousness of Christ Jesus (Matthew 5:48). He is here to protect us, no matter what; Oh, the treasures, He has for us … if we only knew, what joy and peace we’d have. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). 'He said to seek Him with all our heart, mind and soul then you will find Him' (Deuteronomy 4:29). He desires an intimate relationship with you. He wants to be your friend. He wants to talk with you daily. He will give you direction, in all areas of your life. He wants to guide you and protect you. When we surrender our lives, the day-to-day stuff, this is where joy comes for we enter His rest. Your decisions, your thoughts, your words, your actions – who has control of all of them? Is it Lord Jesus? Have you surrendered the control of your life to Him? If there is strife, then all these things haven’t been surrendered to Him. We can’t enter His rest and gain joy and peace in this life, unless we give it all to Him. The more we release to Him the more joy that comes to us. Let us be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall through following the same example of disobedience. Hebrews 4:11. The Lord gives gifts to His children through His Spirit. He said, we have not because we ask not (James 4:2-3). So, Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so we may receive mercy and find grace (Hebrews 4:16). He is waiting for us. He wants to hear our voices cry out to Him. He loves us. He wants to reach down from heaven and fight our battles and give us peace, joy, mercy and grace. Hold tight to these gospel truths, they have the power to save lives and give you God's rest. Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You right now. We are seeking Your face with all our heart. We want to be with You and walk in the coolness of the garden You prepared for us. We want that rest here on this earth. We have belief but help us in our unbelief. Let us trust You in all areas of our lives. Let us see Your hand upon us. Let us know that You’re with us so we can trust and rely upon You. AMEN.
