God's victory is on our side and we know this because, 'He that is within me is greater than he that is in the world' (1 John 4:4). God sent His Son into this world to reclaim us as His child and so He could be your God. He loves us. He wants a relationship with us. “They shall be My people, and I will be their God" (Jeremiah 32:38). He is aware of the brokenness in our lives and the problems that stand against us, but still He said He'd be our God. 'The Lord is my protector; he is my strong fortress. My God is my protection, and with Him I am safe. He protects me like a shield; he defends me and keeps me safe' (Psalm 18:2). Oh, the comfort we should have if we store this precious treasure deep within our soul and guard it as the most priced possession. Keeping this gospel truth far beyond the reach of the enemies lies against the Almighty and His love and forgiveness for me. Let us always remember, the Lord doesn’t see our shame, our nakedness for He has forgotten our sins. He remembers them no more. He is now our friend. He sees in us the righteousness of Christ Jesus (Matthew 5:48). He is here to protect us, no matter what; Oh, the treasures, He has for us … if we only knew, what joy and peace we’d have. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33).

God has fulfilled this for us their children, in that He has raised up Jesus. As it is also written in the second Psalm: ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You’ (Acts 13:33).
Understanding the trinity was revolutionary for me, I could worship God without questioning the nature of Him. I didn’t grow up in a Christian home, which might have been an advantage because I didn’t take The Bible at face value. I wanted to know God, whoever He was. I wanted the truth. I was willing to worship at the altar, as long as it was the altar of the One True God Almighty. I knew in my heart, there was such a God, I just didn’t know who He was. I studied the major world religions, but I found the living God in Christianity, but I had a few questions which made my understanding unstable. I went to Him for the answers. Answers from anyone less wouldn’t satisfy me. The only one true God was in heaven, so who was Jesus? Another God? It was critical because Jesus as another God would invalid God the Father. There is only One. Jesus had to be eternal, so He couldn't be 'born' with a beginning. If Jesus was born, then He would be part of creation with a beginning and end, not eternal. That’s not a good thing so He would fail to be Holy: set apart. No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him (John 1:18). I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26
God promised to give His children a new heart and a new spirit. He wants to remove the agony of our lives and give us His peace and joy. He wants to take the fear, depression, anxiety, worry, uncertainty, and slothfulness from our lives. If we could only learn to do this, we can enter His rest which is what He so desperately wants for us. That old sin nature doesn’t want to let us go, for we were once slaves to it. Jesus came to set us free, but we have to allow Him. Our corrupt sin nature is full of pride, greed, selfishness, control and unforgiveness. It is bondage but we are too afraid to let go. Our hearts are so defiled they're not to be fix, but rather completely replaced. When we give our lives to Christ (Justification), the Holy Spirit is sent into our hearts to begin the restoration which is a process (Sanctification). The cleansing and refining process will take time - because of our lack of faith and trust in Him. We want to maintain control. It's frightening to surrender our lives to an invisible God, especially in a new area, where we've never seen Him work. The longer we hold back when the Lord has asking us to surrender, the longer we quench the Holy Spirit. Do not quench the Holy Spirit. 1 Thessalonians 5:19 The Lord works everything to is proper end (Proverbs 16:4)
God created all things and all things were created for Him. Everything stems from God's existence including my life, and my thoughts. I only discovered that my world view was shaped from my knowledge of God, when I began to learn about Him. When I thought of God as wayward and too busy to help but ready to judge me, my life seemed uncertain and full of fear. Everything, success and failure were in my hands; it was overwhelming. I was the god of my own destiny and this was more than I could handle. I wasn't sure I could manage it, especially with the bad start I was dealt. I never knew my father and my mother was always off with her new boyfriend, leaving us younger kids under the care of our older siblings. I was never taught anything, so how was I going to get anywhere in life. All I knew was life wasn't fair, even from the start. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given us, let us use them. ROMANS 12:4-6a Having the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God live on the inside of you is certainly the greatest blessing, for the gospel even calls us a blessed generation. But second to that is certainly the gifts of the Spirit, which God has given each of us (Ephesians 4:8-13). This is awesome and powerful! These are supernatural gifts; or I like to say they're beyond human capability. Each believer has at least one gift. So when the enemy tells you that you're worthless and your life is pointless, he is a liar and he has been since the beginning. This super-human ability that you've been gifted with also has the power of the Spirit to do what God wills it to do (Ephesians 3:16-20). He equips you for every good work for doing His will (2 Timothy 3:17, Hebrews 13:21). Life offers no greater joy then to help someone in need when you have the capacity. Before I became a christian, I only cared about myself. I didn't realize I was selfish; I thought I was just seeking what I could get out of life. On my path, I'd meet people who were extraordinary kind or gracious. These people left an imprint on me. I thought of them as lights, even before I knew Christ or the gospel. I would ask God to see more of them. They were few and far between. But they began to increase in frequency, and oh how I loved these people. They gave life to my dead bones for life was hard, even cruel. I didn't even believe love existed for I was never shown it. So these loving people were rare treasures to me. You can confidently approach God's throne to receive grace and mercy. Every ancient religion says that you can not approach their gods. People went out of their way to satisfy their gods, even doing child sacrifices. The people were afraid of them, and often thought they were being punished.
But today, in the age of grace with God; He isn't out to punish you. The Bible calls Him your friend (John 15:15). He isn't angry with you. This is the marvel of the work on the cross. God is Holy and Righteous (Psalm 145:17). His Righteousness requires punishment, which is just (Psalm 119:37).
2 Timothy 4:18
The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom; to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen
The LORD is our protector and our defender. (Psalm 18:2) GNTA The Lord is my protector; He is my strong fortress. My God is my protection, and with Him I am safe. He protects me like a shield; He defends me and keeps me safe.) He is a mighty warrior (Exodus 15:3). He promised to fight our battles, for they're not our battles at all. They're His battles (2 Chronicles 20:15). The enemy has been fighting against the LORD since the beginning. The enemy wants for you to surrender your power so he can lead you astray, leaving him in complete control on this earth (Genesis 1:28; Ephesians 2:2). He wants to keep us captive in fear of death (2 Timothy 2:26; Hebrews 2:15). We would fear death because of eternal judgment (1 John 4:18), which would make us prisoners in our minds to death because we have sinned. But the LORD has set us free by defeating sin and death (1 Corinthians 15:55-57). He made a public disgrace of the enemy by taking away his power to accuse us of our sins, which was Satan's greatest weapon (Colossians 2:15). When Jesus came back to life, He took the captives with Him (Psalm 68:18). Those captives are us (Ephesians 4:4-9). We've been set free. We will never die (John 8:51). We will pass from this body to be with the LORD. We have nothing to fear. Praise God! Amen. The devil can't accuse us any more before God (1 Corinthians 5:3), for our sins have been washed away (Hebrews 10:10). He can't make us fear death because we've passed on from judgment (John 5:24). His accusations are powerless. You only have to resist him and he will flee from you (James 4:7). This is how perfect love is available to you, for complete love has no fear. We can know that God completely loves us which is complete freedom (1 John 4:18).
Store these treasures in your heart and guard them for they have the power to set you free. They will give you peace and joy in this life. Releasing you from all anxiety and depression or worry. God's love is glorious. He can be trusted! Amen. Thousands of years ago, the LORD swore a promise into existence. He stated that He would forgive the transgressions of the world. He promised to be our God and for us to be His people (Genesis 17:7). God's promise had a hidden mystery throughout the centuries that the Holy Spirit would live within us. The benefits of the Holy Spirit are protection, comfort, peace, hope, joy, wisdom, security, and love just to name a few. This free gift was given while we were still His enemies (Roman 5:8).
Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16). Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? (1 Corinthians 3:19). This is the great mystery reveals, the will of God, to have His spirit live inside of His children. His children are those who believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God who came to the earth as a man, who lived and died on the cross, and rose to live again. This precious truth is one of the oldest archives hidden in my heart. When I first began to allow the Holy Spirit to lead my, this is the verse I 'stood upon' first. When the enemy attacked to take me off track, I would recall this truth and speak it out loud. I would say it over and over again until I felt the peace of God. Storing biblical truths in our hearts is commanded for our own good, just like the rest of the commands. God designed and created us so He alone knows what is best for us.
The enemy doesn't jump out at us from behind a tree, rather he works in the lives of people around us. When people worked against me, I didn't fear because I held the situation up to the LORD in prayer. I remained open to the LORD's still small voice. I would try my best to follow the commands of Jesus on loving my enemies and not to hold a root of bitterness or retaliate. This didn't come naturally or quickly. But I remained true to taking my stand in this spiritual battle of life. I wasn't always perfect, but I did my best. The LORD isn't looking for perfection; He is looking for people who worship in Spirit and Truth. The LORD said that King David was a man after His own heart. This isn't because David was perfect, but rather he was quick to seek the will of God. When he made a mistake, he quickly admitted it and repented, in true reverence to the LORD. This is how we got many of the heart-felt Psalms that we cherish. God is still looking for those who seek to do His will and who love Him. He doesn't except perfection, for He alone is capable of achieving that. Rather He is seeking those who will admit to the truth, even if it hurts. He is seeking those who will worship even when it hurts. Genuine faith is tested and tried. This is the only way to know if it's true. When the storms of life blow into our lives for surely they'll come to all of us, this is when our true faith is revealed. It is my prayer that everyone will stand strong in the day of the evil one. That they will be equipped with truth and a strong faith. Amen. The LORD is faithful and steadfast. He is without change. He loved us before He spoke the world into existence and that never changed, even though we rebelled and turned against Him. He rescued us from our own failures while we resisted Him. This is a God who can be trusted. He can be gloried. He is worthy of praise, honor and glory, forevermore.
The works of His hand are self-evident within creation. You only have to lift your eyes to the heavens to taste and see that He is good. He has created the entire earth with harmony and beauty to show the power of His might. He hold the entire universe together in perfect balance without blemish. He too can be trusted to hold us in small storms of our lives. When life becomes difficult for me and challenges seem overwhelming, I don't look at the storm. Instead I look to Him. Instead of focusing on what people have said or done which hurts me, I look to see what good could come from it. I can do this with confidence because the LORD promised to work all things together for my good. And it happened so I know He allowed it. He only does what is good so I try to find the lesson in it. Even on the bigger storms of life, I still look to Him. My favorite thing to do is to calm my spirit and close my eyes and envision Him seated on His throne, surrounded by glory which fills the entire throne room. I look to His hands firmly planted on the handrails. I look at His fingers, to see if they move. But they don't. I look to His eyes to see if He turns away. But He doesn't. He doesn't move. He is unmovable. Unshakable. This is my strength. His absolute power just radiates in these moments. He fills me with peace and confidence in these moments. He meets me at these encounters with His majestic love. That is all He ever wanted, a relationship with me, and you. His people. In the good and the bad, He is faithful. The LORD is always good. Taste and see that the LORD is good. He has never failed me yet, and He isn't going to change. He will never leave nor forsake you either. AMEN The LORD is so faithful and true. He promised to be our rock, our protector, our defender, our comforter, our guide, our strength, and even to be our song. Why would we look to anyone or anything else? What in creation can do all these for us, while loving us eternally? There is nothing and no one. But why do we turn from our heavenly father who loves us with an everlasting and steadfast love? Why do we seek after our own ways as if they are good, when no man is good? Why do we seek after our own worldly wisdom when God calls it foolish?
Because we are like blind sheep. We need a shepherd to guide and direct us. One who would lay down his life for us. One who will constantly look after us. One who would protect us. That is the LORD. All that we have which is good, has come from Him. He has a plan and a purpose for our lives. After accepting Him as the Son of God who lived, died, and rose from the dead we must, "Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. Proverbs 16:3" When we resist the temptations to do things our way which is the path that leads to death, and choose to follow Him then we find the hidden path. The straight hidden past from of old, which leads to eternal life. But along the way, you'll enjoy the fruits of it which are love, peace, joy, mercy, forgiveness, meekness, patience, grace, and comfort. God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten son into the world so that we can be saved, not only Jew but Gentile too. Amen. This is the glory of the gospel. We were born into inequity but LORD Jesus was born among men to live a perfect life, to die on the cross, to be born again, and raised to the right hand of the father in heaven to make intercession for us for the remission of our sins. Praise God forevermore for He is worthy for we were destined to hell with no way to be saved.
We were destined to hell for all had fallen short of the glory of God. Mankind had no way to make right his relationship with God. Because of our sin, we all would eternally separated from God, and worthy of eternal judgement. Thank God for His tender love and mercy that He would be gracious enough to want to right our wrong. Thank God that He would take the penalty to upon Himself that we due us. God is rich in mercy, forgiveness, and patience. Abounding in love, which is steadfast and unshakable. Jesus chose to leave His place in heaven to be lowered to be a part of creation, to be born of woman. He is the suffering servant, because of love. God is a intimate God who wants to share His love with us. Jesus came so that He could take us back with Him. So we can spend eternity together. We will worship and sing with the angels forever. Amen Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2
Help someone! WHO HAS TIME FOR THAT? The world tells us to strive, do more and be more, and we find there aren't enough hours in a day to accomplish what we need. We go to bed late and get up early, and we're tired throughout the day. Living with a cup half full and living on vapors. This isn't want God intended for us. Jesus is the King of Salem, which is the King of Peace and Righteousness. Jesus wants us to have peace in this life and the next. He wants us to bear one another's burdens. He wants us to live in community: sharing in joy together and sharing in sorrow too. I have discovered that turning to Jesus when there isn't enough time in a day, somehow helps me reach my goals. I took God up on His Holy Word. Instead of rushing out the door to begin the endless tasks of the day, I stayed in bed and read my bible longer. Instead of worrying about my troubles, I laid them at the feet of Jesus and focused on my friends and families problems. Instead of worrying about how I looked, I worried about how to make others feel valued by me. In all these ways, I put the Kingdom of God first and He blessed me. God helped me reach my goals by taking my burdens away, extending my deadlines, or softening the hearts of my task masters. God always made a way for me to reach my goals, but I put His interests first. God can be trusted. Amen |
